OMG!

Today Ron and I decided to stop by the house before work (of course I forgot the camera) anyway there are walls on the upstairs or main floor or whatever it is we are calling it!

I was so freaking excited I could hardly stand it. Then the builder was there asking us questions about stuff! I know it sounds really lame that I am so excited to have to answer questions, but they are questions to stuff that is happening now and that he needs to prepare for for stuff that will probably be going in next week! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

So I actually am staying home this weekend, (okay I will be sleeping in my bed at night). There are a few things that need to be done so Trevor and I will be having another "work" party at the house on Saturday, I can't wait! Trevor is also excited and he hasn't even seen the upstairs walls yet. He will actually be able to start seeing where his room will be. We are encouraging him to give Tracey the bigger of the two rooms but she might just get the shaft on that one. We will have to see!

So as soon as I remember my camera and have a minute to stop by the house again I will get some photos to post. YEAH! Did I say that already?!

Weekend happenings

So It was a busy weekend as usual! Trevor came down with Strep throat! Poor little bugger! He is on antibiotics now and is on the mend.

Then I went to a last minute craft retreat. I was supposed to go for one night but the mommy guilt was just too strong and I came home Saturday night. The place was beautiful! It was put on by the Camano Craft Hideaway (www.camanocrafthideaway.com) and this is a new place for them to hold a retreat. So this was a trial run weekend and it was very nice. I just worked on crocheting a blanket when I was there.

Ron and Trevor just hung around the house while I was gone. Trevor made me promise that I would only be gone 1 night and kept reminding me of such promise so a little difficult to stay 2 nights. He would call and say, "mommy you promised one night right?" and I would of course say yes. I did throw a we will see in there and he kind of freaked out. Then in one of our many conversations he said "deal" and so I had to say "deal" which in turn meant that I better be home Saturday night!

So as mentioned previously Trevor has a new kitty "Ernie". Well, Ernie is turning out to be a fun cat but a very WILD cat. He is so crazy, that when I walk by a door he will jump out cling onto my leg and try to continually bite you while you are trying to shake him off! I have never seen anything like it. The more he gets in trouble the more he misbehaves, I think I am in trouble! Anyway, we have a little courtyard thing at the rental house that has a really tall fence that he cannot climb and he can't get out so we just leave the door open for him to run in and out and stalk all the bugs out there. Appreantly there was more than bugs out there Saturday night because I had 2 little presents waiting for me by my bed Sunday morning! I am pretty sure it was the kitten because Lightning our adult cat slept with me all night and he has never brought me presents his entire life! Luckily Ron had gotten up first and seen them lying right where my feet would land as I swing out of bed and took care of the perfectly lined up carcasses. One fairly large mouse and one little shrew. Anyway, as pleased as I am that he is a hunter I just wish he would keep them to himself!

Then we put Ron's pony, Rubi in the trailer for a little trip up north to www.winbreakerpoines.com. The shoer was there and Rubi got her first set of front shoes. She was a very good girl and only reared up once. It is incredible what difference 1 year makes for a pony, I can't wait to see her shown in August! While at this farm they were nice enough to hook a mini horse in a cart for Trevor and I to drive around with. His name is Bandit and boy is he a nice little horse. They also showed us there roadster pony Yabba Dabba Doo, again a very nice fancy pony! It was a fun field trip for all!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Got wood?

View of what I beleive are walls being assembled on the basement floor that will be tilted up when complete.
Here is a shot of another stack of lumber and the floor joists. I know they joists span the house but I was still a little suprised to see how long they were.
Some more lumber, yeah!
Another view of the soon to be wall on the basement floor!

YES! Well I had been told that the first part of the lumber package would be delivered on Monday. I was going to drive by yesterday but was afraid of disappointment. So I couldn't take it anymore so I drove by today and guess what there was lumber there and some stuff that looked like walls that are very close to being tilted up. YEAH! So can you feel the excitement?
