So It was a busy weekend as usual! Trevor came down with Strep throat! Poor little bugger! He is on antibiotics now and is on the mend.
Then I went to a last minute craft retreat. I was supposed to go for one night but the mommy guilt was just too strong and I came home Saturday night. The place was beautiful! It was put on by the Camano Craft Hideaway (www.camanocrafthideaway.com) and this is a new place for them to hold a retreat. So this was a trial run weekend and it was very nice. I just worked on crocheting a blanket when I was there.
Ron and Trevor just hung around the house while I was gone. Trevor made me promise that I would only be gone 1 night and kept reminding me of such promise so a little difficult to stay 2 nights. He would call and say, "mommy you promised one night right?" and I would of course say yes. I did throw a we will see in there and he kind of freaked out. Then in one of our many conversations he said "deal" and so I had to say "deal" which in turn meant that I better be home Saturday night!
So as mentioned previously Trevor has a new kitty "Ernie". Well, Ernie is turning out to be a fun cat but a very WILD cat. He is so crazy, that when I walk by a door he will jump out cling onto my leg and try to continually bite you while you are trying to shake him off! I have never seen anything like it. The more he gets in trouble the more he misbehaves, I think I am in trouble! Anyway, we have a little courtyard thing at the rental house that has a really tall fence that he cannot climb and he can't get out so we just leave the door open for him to run in and out and stalk all the bugs out there. Appreantly there was more than bugs out there Saturday night because I had 2 little presents waiting for me by my bed Sunday morning! I am pretty sure it was the kitten because Lightning our adult cat slept with me all night and he has never brought me presents his entire life! Luckily Ron had gotten up first and seen them lying right where my feet would land as I swing out of bed and took care of the perfectly lined up carcasses. One fairly large mouse and one little shrew. Anyway, as pleased as I am that he is a hunter I just wish he would keep them to himself!
Then we put Ron's pony, Rubi in the trailer for a little trip up north to www.winbreakerpoines.com. The shoer was there and Rubi got her first set of front shoes. She was a very good girl and only reared up once. It is incredible what difference 1 year makes for a pony, I can't wait to see her shown in August! While at this farm they were nice enough to hook a mini horse in a cart for Trevor and I to drive around with. His name is Bandit and boy is he a nice little horse. They also showed us there roadster pony Yabba Dabba Doo, again a very nice fancy pony! It was a fun field trip for all!
Hope you all had a great weekend too!
